Chowder and Stuffie Cook-off

Chowder and Stuffie Cook-off

In order to host our 100th anniversary celebration we have made the tough decision to cancel the Chowder and Stuffie cook-off for 2019.

We hope everyone who participates and attends the cook-off will come celebrate with us and enjoy the fireworks display on July 13th! To learn more about the 100th celebration visit the event page.
Next year we plan to have the Chowder and Stuffie cook-off back and bigger than ever as the event celebrates it’s 15th year!

The Chowder and Stuffie Cookoff is the PIA’s big summer fundraiser. This event encourages some friendly island competition as the islands top chefs prepare what they hope to be the award-winning chowder and stuffie. Tickets are sold at the door to sample and vote for your favorites. In addition to the cookoff there are raffle prizes and liquor baskets to win! And for those not interested in sampling the chowders and stuffies there are other food items available at the snack shack.

We are always looking for more cooks willing to put their recipes to the test and challenge some of our previous winners! Applications for entry are available starting a few weeks before the event.

In 2018 the Kearns family took home the title for award winning chowder and the team of Mike Landino and Joe Sergie was awarded best stuffie.
